History: Rural Uplift Centre (RUC) was formed in the year 1981 by the then eleven members of All India Catholic University Federation (AICUF). RUC has long standing experience and expertise in human rights and development for 41 years. Purpose and work: The purpose of RUC is to promote the right to life and right to livelihood security of the poor and the marginalized. It pursuance of the purpose, RUC has been working by carrying out the following activities.

3. Organic Farming - Capacity & organization building
4. Women’s Rights promotion and capacity building. Legal aid to victims of violence, organization building.
5. Conducting crèches for the children of working mothers
6.. Non-Formal Education to the illiterates
7. Skill trainings to dropout youth
