Janvi Charitable Trust

Janvi Charitable Trust has been working relentlessly with the marginalized community in Mumbai for the past 20 years. Our basic premise is that 'Every Life Counts" and hence Janvi Trust works hard to manage, maintain and sustain intiatives in communities identified by it. These initiatives are in the area of education, vocational training, healtcare, counselling, environmental awareness and conservation.

Programs:

Kindergarten for 3 to 5 year olds. Two English medium preschools for the tiny tots ensures a solid foundation for further schooling at a negligible cost.
Vocational courses: Computer skills and Spoken English skills for children from primary and secondary grades as well as for youth to equip them with employability skills for the future.
Academic Assistance: Study support for students up to grade 10.
Sponsorships: Financial assistance for school fees to students at risk of dropping out.

Along with these primary initiatives, a lot of focus is put on bringing the community together through agenda of common interest like awareness sessions on community issues, celebrations, environmental conservation etc.

Our Vision

Over the last twenty years, Janvi has built pride in a very poor, once fractured community - an awareness of the importance of education and the celebration of community events. An awareness that makes the community a stronger unit.

In the next ten years, Janvi's vision is to continue to establish new programs at nominal cost, so as to continue to educate the community about local issues, the outside world, communal living and how it is possible to create a bright future for their children despite hardships, through improved health care, insisting on the right to education, especially for girls and community involvement both in and outside the community.

All this while managing the specific needs of every person who requires our attention. No one's concerns are meaningless.
