Jan Jagran Sansthan

Jan Jagran Sansthan, a grass root level non-governmental organization, was institutionalized in the year 1980. The organization is registered under the India Societies registration Act and Foreign Contribution Regulation Act in the year 1984 and 1990 respectively. The organization federally operates in addressing awareness-building vis-à-vis capacity building amongst the women and youth from the mire sections of the society, children engaged as child labour and commercial sex workers of red-light areas midst rural and urban setups. Jan Jagran Sansthan acts dually at the grassroots level as well as intermediary organization.

The continued growth of Jan Jagran Sansthan over this period of the 36th year is an indication of its acceptability and relevance. It’s the ability to analyze and respond to changing socio-economic-political realities in its struggle with the poor and marginalized for their emancipation and empowerment have stood in good space.

Jan Jagran Sansthan’s relentless pursuit of its vision and mission has enabled it to respond to the alkaline need of the people and facilitate a process of people-centred, people owned participatory and sustainable development interventions. The intervention is organized independently in partnership with other organizations and NGO’s vis-à-vis administrative and legislative wings.

The strategic changes in the response of JJS at various periods have been in concern and desire to be relevant to the needs and aspirations of people and the nation based on socio-economic and political analysis of the external environment. In this whole procedure, the triggered beneficiaries are the subjugated lots. In a nutshell, the organization as a strategy JJS focused on building strong and confident indigenous peoples organization avoiding gender stereotypes.
