Help for children in need Foundation begins every new year, by considering and assessing the work and challenges of its previous year. The year 2022-2023 had presented new opportunities of self-implemented projects. Exploring the possibilities of initiating self-implementation remained apriority. In the context of the concluding remarks of the last report on the deteriorating situation of risks for children , new developments like violence in Manipur and the displacement of more than 60 thousand families including children, demanded some response. The situation still remains volatile. The reporting year also presented new opportunities to initiate support to new projects in Haryana,Bihar and New Delhi.
The year opened with the estimation of a moderate budget. As the time advance two new
collaborations with DACHSER India Pvt Ltd and Norma Group of Products India Pvt. Ltd. helped in advancing support to children in education and vocational training.
Children at risk of being pushed out of education, or development opportunities and those who
needed care and support due to economic and social factors continued to be the target group for HCNF.
HCNF works for creating a society where all children without any barriers of race, religion, caste,community, gender, language and origin grown up as confident and concerned citizens. Happy and secure children contribute to a sustainable society and future for all. To this end it supports those ‘in need’ to secure education, opportunities for leisure creative learning and remedial support.
It works towards the above vision both by implementing projects to support children in difficultcircumstances and also by partnering with organizations who are working with similar vision and mission. During the current year it both continued its engagement with partner organization and also initiated direct work with communities.
