Healing Fields Foundation is building vibrant eco-systems in rural health care areas where basic health services are absent or severely deficient. It is doing so by transforming once–voiceless, marginalized women into community healthcare entrepreneurs and health leaders with a stake in the well-being of their communities. Backed with training in basic healthcare and innovative technology, the women health entrepreneurs offer a spectrum of services to improve health outcomes in their areas – from the adoption of good health practices to opening up access to affordable health care products, facilitating access to entitlements, to serving as first responders by administering first-aid and care, to connections with doctors and follow-up care. They focus on building the menstrual health, nutrition, sanitation and hygiene practices of their communities.
